CEnT (CISIA English Test)

The CEnT (CISIA English Test) is the entrance test for admission to degree courses taught primarily in English.
Starting from the end of November 2025, the previous types of TOLC in English - English TOLC-E, English TOLC-I and
English TOLC-F - will be unified into a single test: CEnT-S (CISIA English Test-Sciences), valid for the areas of
engineering, pharmacy, economics and other scientific courses.
The CEnT delivery methods are:
CEnT@UNI: in the university classrooms
CEnT@CASA: remotely. If you are in a country other than Italy, you can enrol in a CEnT@CASA program from
abroad.
When to do the CEnT:
You can take the CEnT once in each of the following macro-periods:
November, December, January (first macro-period)
February, March (second macro-period)
April, May, June (third macro-period)
September, October (fourth macro-period).
CEnT Costs and Payment:
The CEnT costs 55 euros, and you can pay by credit card.
Repeat a CEnT:
You can only book a CEnT once per macro-period. From the day after the CEnT, you can book another one in the
following macro-period.
After the CEnT:
At the end of the test, you'll see a summary on your screen of the number of correct, incorrect, and unanswered
questions; the same information can be downloaded in PDF format from the CISIA test reserved area.
The final normalized result will be available in your CISIA test reserved area only at the end of the macro-period in
which you took the test:
by January 30th for the first macro-period
by March 31st for the second macro-period
by June 30th for the third macro-period
by October 30th for the fourth macro-period.
Validity – Valid for the admission cycle specified by the institution.

Structure & Content:
Total number of questions: 55 divided into 5 sections
Duration: 110 minutes.
Sections and number of questions:

Physics 5 10 min (CISIA)
Each section has a maximum playing time: once it expires, you must move on to the next section. If you completed
the section before the time expired, you can move on to the next one, but keep in mind that you lose the remaining
time and cannot return to the previous section.
Marking scheme:
+1 point for correct answer
0 for unanswered
–0.25 for wrong answer.
Score normalisation:
At the end of each “macro-period”, the raw score is adjusted (normalized) to correct for differences in test difficulty.
The normalised score is the official one.
Technical Requirements:
You can’t use the desktop computer to take the CEnT. It is mandatory to use a laptop. If you don't have a laptop,
you can borrow one from friends or family. The computer must meet the required technical requirements.
Instructions for CENT@CASA abroad:
Follow these steps:
Register and access the CISIA test reserved area
Click on the DISCOVER THE APP button on the Homepage of your CISIA test reserved area
download the HORIZON APP. (It is mandatory for CEnT@CASA)
Click on the downloaded file to install it.
Remember that you must download and install the Horizon APP by the day before the test, otherwise you will not
be able to take the CEnT.
